New Friends

The most beautiful dog I ever saw was outside our house today. Mrs. Stillman was hanging pictures and stuff and she pulled a shiny square thing right off the wall and leaned it behind her sewing machine table. I snuck over to check it out and saw that it was a window. I didn’t know that you could slide windows off the wall and move them around but there it was.
I crawled under the table to have a closer look and there in the window was a dog!  A beautiful black and white poodle was staring in at me. Well I liked her right away and did the shoulders down paw forward thing to let her know I wanted to play.

And you know what? She did it too!  Every time I barked at her she did the same thing right back at me. It was as if she could read my mind! She didn’t even wait until I was done doing it. She did it right along with me!   It was so fun.  Mrs. Stillman saw us and laughed too.

Mrs. Stillman wants me to put in a complaint about something called crate training/torture. I think that’s what they call it.  It goes like this. You get a dog and play with it till you go to work. Then you put it in a crate and go out the door.  Then the puppy barks and cries all day and tortures the person who lives next door, who is crying listening to the puppy being tortured. Then you get home and you say ‘oh how nice, look how happy the puppy is to see me.’ Then the person next-door tries to get some rest till the next day.  Mrs. Stillman’s been acting really strange. I think she’s the person who lives next door. Can something be done about this?  Mrs. Stillman is really annoying me.

Libby,
Happy to hear about your new beautiful black and white friend. Now when Mrs. Stillman is busy hanging her art and fixing her vaccumm cleaner you can look out your new window and get your friend to do the same thing you do.
Make sure you save time to write though because you're a great writer. Your Pal, Wally
